Other Mods[]

Other mods can be used to either improve the features of Ex Nihilo or compliment it. These mods may not be practical for Skybox play, but will work regardless.

  • Buildcraft [1]: Buildcraft uses pipes and machines focused on mining. However pipes, tanks, and engines can be used to make some parts of Ex Nihilo automated, such as automatically removing lava from Crucibles. The items required to use/power the pipes can be made in Skybox maps, although other portions of the mod uses large amounts of materials that are more suited for normal gameplay.
  • JABBA/Better Barrels Link: Barrels can be used to store mass amount of items, mostly cobblestone. They're pretty tedious to craft, but worth it if you have an automated system that produces mass amounts of items. This is most likely a late game block because you probably won't have a lot of items of the same type early on.
  • OpenBlocks Link: Contains Tanks, Utilities, and Blocks very useful with Ex Nihilo and Skyblock itself. From watering cans and sprinklers, to elevators and liquid xp. It's also used to decorate up your Skyblock to its full potential.
